What is Induction Hardening?

Induction hardening is a highly advanced and specialized metalworking technique that is used to increase the hardness, strength, and durability of ferrous metals. This process involves heating the material using high-frequency electromagnetic waves until it reaches its "curie temperature," the point at which it becomes magnetic.

Once this temperature is achieved, a rapid quenching process is utilized to cool the metal down quickly, thereby creating a hardened surface layer with impressive wear resistance and improved mechanical properties. Induction hardening is a popular and effective method for producing stronger and more reliable metal components that can withstand the rigors of heavy usage and high-stress applications.
